Sanger, Texas — The Sanger Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is proud to announce that Economic Development Coordinator Morgan Miller has officially earned her Basic Economic Development Certification (BEDC), joining a cohort of 75 newly certified economic development professionals across the state.

The BEDC designation is awarded to individuals who complete over 26 hours of intensive coursework focused on economic development strategies, community growth, business retention and expansion, municipal partnerships, and development finance. The program is recognized statewide as a foundational credential for practitioners working to advance local economies.

Miller began her role with the Sanger EDC in July of 2025 and has quickly established herself as a key contributor to the organization’s mission of growing the local economy, recruiting quality development, and supporting existing businesses. Earning the BEDC certification demonstrates her commitment to professional development and to bringing best practices back to the Sanger community.

With this certification, Miller is now better equipped to assist in advancing current initiatives, including infrastructure readiness, strategic planning, workforce alignment, and business attraction efforts. She will continue working closely with the EDC Board, local leadership, and regional partners to drive responsible growth.

The BEDC program is accredited by the International Economic Development Council and is offered through partnerships with TEDC (Texas Economic Development Council) and TEEX (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service), providing participants exposure to industry experts, case studies, and practical tools that support their work in the field.
