The Sanger Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) has been recognized by the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) as a recipient of the 2025 Economic Excellence Recognition. The award was presented during the TEDC Winter Conference held February 27 in El Paso, Texas.

The Economic Excellence Recognition program highlights economic development organizations across Texas that demonstrate a strong commitment to professionalism, leadership, and organizational effectiveness. To qualify, organizations must meet high standards in areas such as board and staff professional development, certifications, memberships, and overall organizational practices that support successful economic development efforts.

Receiving this recognition reflects Sanger EDC’s continued dedication to strengthening the local economy, supporting existing businesses, and attracting new opportunities that contribute to the long-term prosperity of the community.

In 2025, 85 economic development organizations across Texas received the Economic Excellence Recognition, including the Sanger Economic Development Corporation. The program recognizes communities that demonstrate a clear commitment to advancing economic development through leadership, professional development, and best practices.

“The TEDC’s Economic Excellence Recognition program is one of the ways in which our organization honors the outstanding commitment to excellence of our communities and regions, their leaders, and their economic development professionals toward the professionalization of their economic development efforts,” said Carlton Schwab, President and CEO of the Texas Economic Development Council.

Established in 1961, the Texas Economic Development Council is a statewide, Austin-based nonprofit professional association dedicated to developing economic and employment opportunities throughout Texas. The organization provides information, educational programming, and legislative services to more than 1,000 members while supporting strategies that promote a positive business climate across the state.
